As well as demystifying the illusive vinyasas that come from navasana to garbhapindasana as we explore the milestones in the primary series. Work on chakrasana the backwards vinyasa will also be done! You will start to find your bandhas as Emma explains & demonstrates key aspects of finding flight. Options and variations are always given but expect to work hard.

One of the main injuries that happens in Ashtanga is knee & wrist injuries. Emma will show you how to safely protect these areas and also how to work on hip opening and shoulder stability so your lotus and chaturanga are solid. Think of this as the backbone of your practice – how to move safely through challenging postures. There will be time to take notes here and Emma will give 1:1 guidance on the things that are stopping you in your practice.
5pm – 6pm – How to get everything you need from the standing sequence
We will take an in-depth look at the Ashtanga standing sequence- no matter what series you’re practising you always start the same.
