Feeling trapped by your own inner critic, unable to cope with daily stresses. Spend most of your time worrying about things that never actually happen, creating scenarios in your head. Me too, and were not alone, stress and anxiety affect most people in our increasingly hectic and messy world. Let me take you on a journey to rediscover your true happiness and find peace, simply by taking the time to breath.
This workshop will focus on how to breath correctly (most people don’t use their full lung capacity), with simple and effective breathing techniques proven scientifically to reduce negative thought processes. We will also explore different ways of being mindful from sitting with a cup of tea to a walking meditation, to a seated meditation.
We will look at different ways of sitting, including the use of props such as bolsters, cushions, and chairs ensuring everyone finds a position that is comfortable for their own unique needs. Exploring various techniques designed to help the mind maintain focus, and what to do when the thoughts just keep coming. We will finish with a Taoist healing relaxation.
