Many movements our body makes either begin or pass through the core and without good core strength the body becomes imbalanced and puts undue stress on other parts of our body to compensate.
Strengthening your core is much more than getting a flat tummy or 6-pack abs, it is about creating stability throughout the whole body.
The core also supports the spinal column so as we strengthen the core, we can gain freedom from back pain.
Emma will guide you through a gentle opening of the body first, easing into each area and releasing tensions. Then following a heat building, energising and fun flow we will begin to activate our cores. Flowing through postures and working to stabilise our movements, using the core to keep us grounded and allow our movements to be strong and stable.
When we come down to seated we will look at strengthening the abdominals, get ready for a lot of fun… and perhaps a few Yoga groans as well!
This workshop is suitable for any level of strength and fitness. Emma will share breathing practises to allow more control to your whole body, you will be offered plenty modifications as well time to rest. We will finish with a nice long healing yoga nidra finishing with optional head massage and guided relaxation.
