As we enter exam season students will often feel increased pressure to perform acadeically.
All this stress can have an impact on mental health and well-being as well as a negative impact on grades and motivation. It’s important to have some strategies to de-stress during this overwhelming time. Mindfulness-based practices have been shown to reduce stress, and make our negative thoughts seem less threatening.
Looking at techniques to calm the mind, using asana (poses), meditation, and pranayama (breath control), this workshop will be split between theory and practice. This workshop is suitable for yoga novices and the experienced yogi.
Each student will be emailed a handout with techniques and a small flow they can take away to practice when the exam stress builds.
