    My journey onto the mat…

My yoga journey began in 2014 while living back home in Toronto, Canada. I was initially drawn to the practice because I wanted to find a way to become more grounded and check in with myself. Eventually I left home to go travelling, and I continued to use yoga as a way to ground myself when I needed it. My practice became consistent and deepened further once I eventually settled here in the UK. I then decided to undertake yoga teacher training to develop my knowledge of the tradition and practice. I completed my 200 hrs in Yomala, Vinyasa, and Yoga Therapeutics training in 2020 in Newcastle with Yoga Therapies and I am now looking forward to sharing my practice with others. My personal practice ranges from a playful vinyasa to a juicy restorative. What I enjoy most is finding that balance between effort and ease and taking the time to settle into that to find what the postures have to offer: the ‘rasa’ or ‘essence’ of each of them. I hope my classes help students to spark enquiry for their own practice: to tune out of their head and into their body. To understand themselves on a deeper level to become more aware and compassionate – on and off the mat..

    My advice to students is…

“This is your body and your practice; both are unique to you. The only one you need to show up for is yourself. “
