I had dipped in and out of yoga for many years. However, in 2013 I started having some health problems and came back to yoga. I found the Yoga Studio to be my “happy place” and yoga became my guilty pleasure. Yoga helped me back to health.
What I love about yoga is that it is not a competition. It is wonderful for everyone. You can go as deeply into a pose as you feel you want to on that day. Learning to observe and listen to what your body needs to do. Yoga is not limited by your age, level of fitness or the shape/size of your body.
I trained as a yoga teacher (200 hours) here at the Yoga Studio in 2016 and in 2017 trained as an Aerial Yoga Teacher (level 1 &2) at The Yoga Studio.
Aerial Yoga is just wonderful and it is fun too. Everyone should try it at least once.
In 2017 I travelled to California and trained with Sadie Nardini and qualified in Yoga Shred.
I am also a qualified Children’s Yoga Teacher after undertaking training with Little Greene Yoga in Glasgow and teach children aged 3 to 12 in various schools in Cumbria.
“Lose yourself to the joy of yoga. Don’t worry about looking at what anyone else is doingConcentrate on the breath, quieting the mind and listening to your body. Never push your body beyond it’s limit.
“Yoga is a light which once lit will never dim. The better your practice the brighter your flame”
