My yoga journey started around 30 years ago.
Having been a gymnast in my childhood, Yoga was a natural transition for me to explore and deepen my existing knowledge. But it became so much more than a physical practice, it became my therapy.
It helped me to manage the daily ups and downs as well as the big life changing events we all go through at some point in our life. So, for me yoga is the key to my sense of wellbeing.
It helps me to reconnect and when you feel that connection on a regular basis, whether it’s daily or weekly it grounds you and helps you to stay strong through the upheavals of life. Whether that’s going through the menopause or moving house!
My specialised areas are mindfulness and meditation, and I love the soothing calming practice of yin yoga which I have studied for many years.
In 2017 I certified as a yoga teacher here at The Yoga Studio Carlisle.
I create a calm and peaceful space when I teach, so come along and enjoy some time to rest and restore.
