Chi Gung meets yoga!
This workshop aims to provide a deeper understanding of the yang movements that stimulate the flow of chi in our bodies.
Chi is our energy and this ancient practice is built off the Chinese meridians. Pathways holding energy in the body.
A combination of chi gung and yoga, chiyo is flowing movements led by the breath bringing balance to both mind and body.
In this workshop we will be learning a number of movements, culminating in a set sequence with one movement flowing into the next. Think beautiful releasing and gentle flowing movement that make your body and mind feel at ease, replenished and free.
Inspired by nature many of the postures imitate animals such as the deer, monkey and white crane, or are linked to natural wonders like a rainbow
Chiyo helps to slowly build strength and flexibility whilst calming the mind through positive visualisation s and mindful movement
The workshop will finish with a healing yoga nidraas you lay down to be guided by Sammy’s beautiful relaxing voice. Drifting off to a place of calmness and peace….. bliss!
